Unique to Artist Project 2022, Fashion Art Toronto debuted collections from 2 emerging designers during a live fashion show on opening day.

The chosen designers included Ayimach, led by Artistic Director Jason Baerg, who references his Indigenous culture in the materials and colour palettes he uses, along with Meesh, by Micheline Wedderburn. A member of the Black Designers of Canada, Wedderburn creates works by repurposing vintage fabrics and textiles, incorporating unusual materials into her wearable art.
